Join Ann Mackey and Jan Clough on a ramble through Hillside Woods. Bring your smartphone! Ann will explain how to add your photos to iNaturalist. All pics of nature added to the app during the month of April within the boundary of 10706 will automatically be included in this monthlong investigation of biodiversity in our Village. Hastings is on its 7th year!

Join the inimitable Don Erwin for a tour of work-to-date in the Lower Burke Estate. Don has thwacked back invasive common reed (phragmites), replanted with native plants, and helped high schoolers install a tool shed, conduct soil research, and plant native pollinator gardens. Are you a student interested in conservation? The Burke Estate is a great lab! More info on the project here.

An experienced leader and dedicated “lister” who has led our groups in the past, Yoni brings a wealth of knowledge regarding local and migratory species of the East Coast, with a specialized knack for identifying birds by both sight and sound.
